Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Potato Message

Each product is custom-made and personalized based on customer inputs. Since our products involve real potatoes with custom messages, we follow a strict but transparent cancellation and refund policy.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Order Cancellation Policy

  • Order cancellations are accepted only within 1 hour of placing the order.

  • After 1 hour, cancellations will not be accepted, as the potato enters the personalization process and the message cannot be erased or reused.

  • Cancellation requests raised after this window will be automatically declined.

2. Refund Policy

Refunds are not applicable once the product is personalized, except in the case of genuine damage during transit.

Refunds are applicable only if:

  • The product is physically damaged during delivery, AND

  • You submit clear, real photos of the damaged product within 1 hour of receiving the package, AND

  • The damage is verified as unintentional and genuine

Important Conditions:

  • Photos must be original and unedited

  • AI-generated images, edited photos, or intentionally damaged products will not be accepted

  • Images must clearly show:

    • The damaged potato

    • The outer packaging

    • The shipping label (if required for verification)

Once verified, we will process:

  • A replacement, or

  • A refund, at our sole discretion

3. Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds or replacements will not be provided in the following cases:

  • Change of mind after placing the order

  • Delay caused by incorrect address or unreachable recipient

  • Natural spoilage due to delayed opening of the package

  • Minor variations in size, shape, or appearance of the potato

  • Claims raised after 1 hour of delivery

  • Fake, edited, AI-generated, or manipulated damage claims

4. Processing Time

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days

  • The refunded amount will be credited to the original payment method

  • Replacement timelines may vary based on location and logistics availability

5. Shipping Charges

  • Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable

  • If a replacement is approved, reshipping will be handled by Potato Message

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:

  • Fulfill orders

  • Provide customer support

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • Resolve disputes and enforce policies
